Bishop Rodney McIntosh is a native of Fort Worth Texas, growing up on the Eastside where he attended Eastern Hills High School. Bishop McIntosh is the oldest of six siblings, has been married for 21 years to Joycelyn McIntosh and is the proud father of five children. Bishop McIntosh is community activist, pastor and mentor.
Bishop McIntosh also serves as the Director of Violence Intervention and Prevention Fort Worth (VIP FW), a non-profit organization whose sole focus is to reduce cyclical and retaliatory gun violence in the city of Fort Worth. VIP FW is a community-based violence prevention and intervention program. VIP FW works with young boys and young men, ranging in age 11 – 29, in the city of Fort Worth where the organization teacheslessons on conflict resolution, de-escalation, emotional intelligence, and how to deal with adverse childhood experiences. Through his work, Rodney McIntosh has influenced the lives of more than 200 young boys and young men with the goal of equipping them for the future.
Bishop McIntosh felt the call to preach in 2007, accepting his calling in 2009. He preached his first sermon at Morningside Missionary Baptist Church where he served faithfully for two years. In 2011 he again felt the call of God but this time the call was to pastor. Bishop "Mac" started Christ The Risen King Church, which is located in the Stop Six community. Bishop McIntosh has served in the capacity of Senior Pastor for the last 13 years, providing services that includes homeless outreach, food drives, clothing donations and donations to local events in the Stop Six Community.
Bishop McIntosh has been featured in local media and statewide coverage for his outstanding community service.
